Resource Protection Committee
The Resource Protection Committee advises the Board on issues regarding the preservation, conservation, interpretation and management of historical and natural resources in order to protect Mason Neck and enhance the experience of living and visiting here.
Neighborhood Committee
The Neighborhood Committee addresses issues submitted by the individual citizen, and various neighborhoods of Mason Neck, which fall into the category of environmental, social, and historical matters of our community, by analysis and direction to modes of assistance as determined appropriate by the committee members.
We will also assist other committees, when appropriate, by offering our ideas and help with various community projects for the betterment of Mason Neck, as a whole.
Watchdog Committee
The Watchdog Committee quickly addresses critical issues that face Mason Neck and dovetails with other MNCA committees that deal long-term with environmental, land use, historical, and neighborhood goals. Members will email and meet with one another and the Mason Neck Civic Association Board and President to determine positions on issues, such as education, new proposed developments, Base Realignment for Fort Belvoir, potential contamination, etc., as well as attend meetings on such subjects and speak at public meetings to represent the best interests of Mason Neck and its residents.
